Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY Propagation of Kiwi Fruit (Actinidia deliciosa [(A. chev) C.F.Liang et AR ferguson)]With Semihardwood Cuttings and Grafting This study was conducted in the greenhouse complex of Blacksea Technical University of Faculty of Forestry in 1999 in Trabzon and consisted of two chapters In the first chapter, the effects of IBA dosages, cutting time, hormone soaking time in the production of semi hardwood kiwi cuttings and the effects on root formation were studied. Due to difficulties in root formation some likely solutions were seek. In the second chapter, semi hardwood grafting scion were used using the method of "green wood whip grafting". As the grafting material, Hayward root stocks which growth in 1998 were used. The grafting scions were taken during vegetative stage. The seedlings propagated from seeds have more denser roots than the cuttings. This property is significant where the plantation will likely established in dry regions. The best results for the time of cutting was found as July. Wounding was not significant for the base of cuttings. However, the dosage of 6000 ppm IBA was found economical and 5 seconds soaking of cuttings was found sufficient The best results for whip grafting using semi hardwood were obtained tied with parafilm and under greenhouse conditions with mist environment Key words: Kiwi Fruit, Propagation of Semi -Hardwood Cuttings, IBA, Semi Hardwood Scion Whip Grafting Method and Wrapping Material V
