The evaluation of the learning outcomes in the TRNC 2018 Basic Education Turkish Lesson Teaching Program in terms of high-level thinking skills

In the globalizing world system, the individual needs to have some skills in order to be a qualified part of the system and to keep up with the times. Today, it has become a necessity for students to acquire these skills in a planned and programmed way at schools. High-level thinking skills are also important skills that should be taught to students in schools. This study was conducted to evaluate the learning outcomes in the TRNC 2018 Basic Education Turkish Lesson Program in the context of high-level thinking skills. Within the scope of the study, a total of 1002 learning outcomes in all grade levels from the 1st grade to the 8th grade in the curriculum were evaluated. In the study, which was carried out according to the qualitative research method, document analysis was preferred as the data collection method. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. In order to ensure the reliability of the research, expert examination was made and 91% reliability was achieved. According to the data obtained within the scope of the research, it was found that high-level thinking skills were not adequately and equally included in the curriculum.
