Abstract (EN)

This investigation was carried out between 2017 and 2019 in determination of plant used as folk medicine on Kılıçkaya village and its surroundings (Yusufeli- Artvin). The research area under review is in the Colchic povince of the Euro-Siberian floristic area in the Holarctic phytogeographic region and is found in the A8 square according to grid system of Davis. As a result of the study, it was determined that 37 species belonging to 22 families of 34 genera were used for medical and aromatic purposes. The surveys were made to local people (35 individual) and it was determined the most used medical and aromatic plants as folk drug. They are Cornus mas, Diospyros lotus, Mespilus germanica, Rubus idaeus, Urtica dioica and Zea mays. As a result of local people survey, the plants used as folk medicine were determined as used for treatment of colds, infection, painkiller, digestive system disorder, gynecology, heart and diabetes.
