Abstract (EN)
Increasing numbers of small and medium sized enterprises, which are indispensable growth channels in countries that want to grow in ever-increasing global competition conditions, are rapidly increasing and the contribution of these enterprises to the country's economy also increases the importance of these enterprises. In the developing country economies, the effects of the economic changes and developments that have taken place over the years have attracted the attention of the governments with the employment, production and value added created by the SMEs, and policies have been started at the macroeconomic level for these enterprises. SMEs are the locomotive of developing countries' economies with their ability to adapt rapidly to changing economies through flexible structures, to get out of economic crises thanks to these flexible structures, to be able to set up quickly, to integrate innovations and developments quickly, and to respond quickly to ever changing demands of consumers. However, in addition to the benefits that can be further increased, difficulties in finding a loan can be considered as weaknesses of these enterprises, in case the capital is low, in the field of activity, not by expert personnel but by the capital owner. SME firms have difficulties in finding financing as their biggest problems besides their inadequate capital establishment. Our country is the first source bank credits that can be characterized as out-of-business by SMEs in finding financing sources. However, when we look at the amount of loans provided to firms in the country in terms of SMEs, this ratio is very low compared to developed countries. Given the reasons for this low rate, it is likely that banks see such businesses as risky, that their accounting records are not kept properly, and that these banks are unable to meet the collateral requirements that banks require. When evaluating banks' SMEs, it is important for SMEs to consider the distinctive features of large enterprises, to interpret the financial statements in a different perspective, and to consider the structure of the sector in which the business operates. Many qualitative features such as age, legal structure, age of the owner, gender and level of education of SMEs operating in all sectors should be considered by the banks. Banks will gain more importance to these companies, develop analysis systems according to the characteristics of these firms, product development according to these firms and employing specialized personnel will enable banks to work more efficiently with SME firms .
