Özet (EN)

Koçers/ nomads are communities that live a nomadic life with their animals in certain seasons and at certain intervals. This study shows what the social position of Koçer women in Duderan tribe, a Koçer tribe, is. In the study, in which qualitative research method was used, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 17 female and 3 male participants during the time the tribe spent on the plateau using the phenomenology design. As in communities where the patriarchal system is dominant, Koçer women come to the forefront with the identities of 'daughter', 'bride', 'mother', 'mother-in-law' in the tribal system dominated by patriarchy and gain status with these identities. These statuses are a source of information about themselves and their social position. Being a child bride and the accompanying experiences of being a bride constitute a breaking point in the lives of Koçer women. The study concludes that patriarchy and nomadic life play a decisive role in the construction of Koçer women's social position. Keywords: Gender, Tribe, Koçer woman, Nomadic life, Patriarchal system, Woman's Position.
