Komitaji, Balkan/Macedonia komitaji and spread on the Turkish state tradition

As a popular concept in Turkish political history, "Komitaji" was brought into existence with the participation of Unity and Development Party in political life. These komitaji forces always supported this Party and its proponents in their fight to seize power in Ottoman Empire. Throughout the Party's struggles to political power, these komitaji forces tried to solve the problems using illegal means, which could not be solved by legal methods. These forces were systematically benefitted by the nationalist before and after Turkish War of Independence. Ultimately the concept of the komitaji has become one of the worst traditions in Turkish political life left by the Unity and Development Party. In this study, we have made a comprehensive analysis of this concept and compared committee with gang, pointing out the differences between the two. Building upon this notion, Balkan/Macedonia Komitaji are analysed and their organisation in the region are detailed. Finally, the place of this concept in Turkish state tradition is explored and komitaji in Turkish state are discussed.
