Abstract (EN)

Personality, as a notion imputed to human being is a phenomenon emphasizing on the individual differences and claiming that each individual reacts differently in different situations. This made researchers to investigate the reasons behind this differentiation and personality traits have become the subject of this study. Additionally, personality types of employees indicate greater importance for the enterprises to be able to choose the right person and for the ease of their adoption to the working conditions. Nowadays, the concept of organisational commitment has also become very important. Organisational Commitment represents the strength of the feeling of `belonging? to the organisation in which the employee is recruited. The extent of employees? loyalty to the organisation in which they are employed has got great importance for the achievement of the companies. The service-intensive structure of the hospitality industry assigns great significance over employees? commitment to the organisation in which they are employed.In the study, a statistically significant relationship between the personality traits of the employees and their tendency for organisational commitment was found. It was also found that emotional stability, compatibility and extrovert personality traits which are the sub-dimensions of personality traits have greater influence on the organisational commitment. However, no statistically significant relationship was determined between the personality traits of openness to innovation and responsibility.Key Words: Personality, Personality Types, Organizational Commitment, Hospitality Enterprises
