The effects of modern leadership styles exhibited in accommodation enterprises on employee psychological capital

Within the tourism industry, accommodation establishments play a crucial role. As entities where customers and employees are directly engaged, ensuring the continuity of accommodation establishments necessitates maintaining high levels of employee performance. One of the factors influencing employee performance is psychological capital. In terms of positive psychological capital, the leadership styles exhibited within the organization hold significant importance. Thus, the purpose of this study is to determine the impact of modern leadership styles exhibited by managers in accommodation establishments on employees' perceptions of psychological capital. The literature review section of the study thoroughly explains the concepts of leadership, modern leadership styles, and psychological capital. In the findings section, a survey form including demographic characteristics, modern leadership styles, and psychological capital variables was administered to 144 employees working in accommodation establishments. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS software. The results indicate variations in employees' perceptions of psychological capital based on demographic factors. Additionally, it was found that the modern leadership styles exhibited by managers also influence employees' perceptions of psychological capital.
