Abstract (EN)

Children have been researched as a subject of many fields for centuries. Studies are carried out in various fields on these subjects. Children, who are natural candidates to become adults of the future, can be seen as the cornerstone of society in a social sense. The education that children will receive and the experiences they will gain about life outside of this education are very important in terms of their formation. In fact, in the childhood process that has emerged since modern times and is divided into periods within itself, the most important fact, namely the situation, for the child who encounters many formal and informal stimuli is socialization. In the socialization process that affects children's lives from birth to certain ages, games are one of the most important issues. Games are quite effective in a developmental and educational process for children, whether they are educational or not, inside and outside of school. The earthquake that occurred in our country recently, affected 11 of our provinces and was recorded as the disaster of the century, and is still fresh in our memories, has affected many people of all ages. In addition, children go through more difficult periods and difficult situations to cope with when compared to adults. The situation of children's reducing their traumas and re-adapting to their lives in general is quite important; the role of games is undeniable here. Games, which have vital importance in the socialization of children and the healthy formation of their character, also find a place in the literature under various subheadings. In this study, by examining the concepts and phenomena mentioned above, it is aimed to make various evaluations based on the literature around the concepts of games, children, childhood and socialization.
