Themed tafsir study: the example of surah Al-Anfal

The aim of this study, titled "The Thematic Tafsir Study: The Surah Al-Anfal as an Example", is to evaluate Surah Al-Anfal within the framework of surah-centered thematic commentary and to evaluate it in accordance with the content of the Qur'an with a holistic and comprehensive point of view. The study consists of an introduction and three sections. In the introduction part, the subject, importance, purpose, method of the research and the sources which are used in the research are given. In the first section, after briefly mentioning the history of tafsir, the Thematic Tafsir method, which is frequently used today, its importance, its types and one of these varieties, "Surah-centered thematic tafsir", will be discussed and the study will be based on this basis. In the second section, subjects such as the name of the Anfal Surah, the number of its verses, the process of its revelation, its relationship with the previous and next suras, its content and virtue have been discussed and the surah has been introduced with its general characteristics. In the third section, Surah Al-Anfal is tried to be explained within the thematic tafsir method. The subject surah mainly refers to the Battle of Badr. However, the topics covered in it have been tried to be categorized by including the main topics containing the messages related to faith, social order and law, morality and prophecy, and subheadings related to these main topics.
