Abstract (EN)

Housing structures are among the building groups that have an important place in our lives from the moment we are born. The house, which has emerged as a shelter from the past to the present, has undergone changes in the process. Epidemic diseases, which we describe as social events, are one of the factors that cause the change of residences. The COVID-19 outbreak, which emerged in late 2019, is the last pandemic in history. With the declaration of the pandemic, curfews and social distance rules have been implemented in many countries. In this process, the use of housing and the importance of housing have increased. Within the scope of this study, it is aimed to determine the satisfaction and adequacy of the residences by revealing the use of existing housing structures before and during the pandemic process. In this context, a survey study was conducted in two residential sites with different sizes and number of rooms selected in Trabzon. SPSS program was used in the evaluation of the survey study. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the satisfaction rate of the users in the houses with large square meters and high number of rooms during the pandemic process is high. In addition, the spaces are flexible enough to allow for new additional functions that may be encountered throughout life; It was emphasized that the furniture should be functional that can be used for more than one function.
