Determination of the problem of access to the upper house kitchen cabinets research and a model for standardization

Upper cubboards of housing kitchen which are between kitchen cerling and counter-top, have the kitchen space; are the biggeststorage space. In this research; it has been put emphasis on reaching problem to kitchen upper cubboards that woman use the housing kitchen and been tried to create a model which is aimed to form a standartization depending on kitchen storage space rescurements of users. The study is formed by four parts. In the first part, literatüre search, on thesis subject checkingup on boks and various subjects, has been done and searched on the Resources of Turkish Standards Institute to determine the available standartization with kitchen upper cupboards. In the second part, designing a template reaching measures of kitchen users the questionnaire has been prepared fort he problem and given a seminer about both on using of template and on filling the questionnaire by choosing pollsters. In the third part, determining a sample field; it has been reached to 132 houses and the kitchen users of these houses in Trabzon. In the fourth part, acquired datas have been consrued with using statistical package for social sciences and the anthropometric measures of users have been cumpared and ronstrued with the measures of housing kitchen. Consequertly, it has been determined that the large part of kitchen users couldn't reach upper cupboards. In accordance with this determination, proposals have been brought forward to find a way.
