Abstract (EN)
In our study conducted in Karatay, Meram and Selçuklu districts of Konya province, 20 pharmacies and 15 herbalists were visited and the plants, herbal parts and herbal products sold were identified and examined. The local name of the plant and plant parts, the scientific name on the product, their intended use and usage patterns were recorded in the registration forms. The correct scientific names of the plants and their Turkish scientific names were determined. In our study, herbal products sold in pharmacies and herbalists were identified and categorized. The trademark names of the products, the plants used, their intended use and usage patterns were compiled based on the information obtained from pharmacies and herbalists. 108 genera, 131 species and subspecies of plants/herbal parts belonging to 56 families sold in herbalists, and 182 taxa included in the herbal preparations of 232 trademarks sold in different product categories in pharmacies and herbalists were identified.
