These organizations make the countries stronger botheconomically and politically. One of these organizations is ?The European Union.? Turkey isa country which wants to be in the EU and it is one of the countries on the top of the list.Begin a member of the EU has became a must in order to compete with other countries interms of economy, law and politics. The EU offer a wide variety of rights to its membercountries and help them develop. In order to be a member of this organization, an array ofconditions has been determined and the membership of the countries which have theseconditions has been accepted.According to this circumstance, in the first section of this thesis an emphasis has beenput on Turkey-EU relationships and the application of full membership. In the second section,Copenhagen political criteria have been mentioned. In the third section, adaptation laws fromthe Turkish National Assembly has been mentioned, in the fourth section, the applications ofCopenhagen criteria have been told. In the fifth section, an emphasis has been put on thecauses which make Turkey and the EU closer. In the sixth section, the mutual problemsbetween Turkey and the EU has been mentioned. In the last section, the important event inTurkey in the way of the UE has been told.
