Abstract (EN)

In the context of architectural conservation, restorations are made to works with cultural values. Contemporary additional applications can be seen in some restorations. There are no clear statements about contemporary additions in the conservation laws of the states. For this reason, the concepts that deal with the contemporary addition application in the legal regulations put forward by the international conservation institutions have been determined. These concepts were gathered under categories and a matrix system was created in order to examine contemporary additions. Türkiye and Europe interact in the context of geographical and strategic location. Therefore, buildings with contemporary additions from Europe and Turkey were determined and identity tables of the buildings were created. Identity tables of matrix systems and structures were sent to the experts and they were asked to answer the questions in the matrix system in line with the recommendations of the legal regulations. The answers were evaluated using fuzzy logic. A method that can be developed with a matrix system and fuzzy logic, which deals with legal regulations, has been created in order to prevent the contemporary additional applications to be made in the future in the world from damaging historical structures.
