Stres sources, drugs usage levels and psychological assistance research behaviors of students residing in the dormitories of general directorate of credit and Dormitories Agency

The purpose of this study is, to investigate the stress sources, drug usage levels and psychological assistance research behaviors of the students residing in the dormitories of General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories Agency (GDCDA) under the organization of Bursa Province Regional Directorate. The students residing in the dormitories of GDCDA under the organization of Bursa Province Regional Directorate form the general population of the study. 303 students residing in the dormitories of GDCDA while the academic year of 2009 ? 2010 take place in the sample of the study. Chi-Square, t test, Kruskal Wallis analysis were performed while the analysis of data. The following results were achieved as the result of performed analysis: The students have stated that their professional concerns towards their future, their not being able to receive education at the branches that they wish, not getting along with their roommates form the primary stress source for them.The females? assuming the lesson difficulty as stress source is higher regarding the males. The second meaningful relation was detected at the article of not being able to make use of free time well. The females stated that their not being able to make use of their free time well comparing with males is the primary stress source for them. Researching assistance behavior was found meaningfully high at the male students comparing with the female students.It is seen that a meaningful relation was detected between not getting along with room-mates and smoking. When the assistance research attitude regarding the economic conditions of the students is analyzed, it was realized and seen that the students whose economic conditions are very poor show much more assistance research behavior than the students whose economic conditions are medium and high. In the same manner, it was realized and seen that the students whose economic conditions are very poor show much more assistance research behavior than the students whose economic conditions are medium and high.When the assistance research attitude of students regarding the branch variable is analyzed it is found that the attitude of the students receive education in Engineering and Architecture Faculties are meaningfully high comparing the students receive education in Economics and Administrative Sciences Faculty.
