Abstract (EN)
Today, developing technology affects every aspect of life. One of these developing technologies is crypto assets. Crypto assets attract attention with their decentralised and anonymous structures and are widely used. It is inevitable that the widespread use of crypto assets will affect the world of law. Crypto assets have started to be the subject of both civil and criminal cases in recent years. This situation has made it necessary to determine the legal status of crypto assets. In our study, firstly, information about crypto assets will be given and then the regulations in the world and in our country will be mentioned. In the third section, the legal nature of crypto assets will be mentioned. In the fourth section, an examination will be made in the context of the law of obligations. In the fifth section, crypto assets will be examined within the framework of family law, and in the last section, the issue of transfer of crypto assets to the heir will be mentioned. Considering that crypto assets will be used much more widely in the coming years, it is clear that crypto assets will also be subject to lawsuits in the legal world. Therefore, it is necessary to clarify the legal nature of crypto assets in the context of civil law in order to guide the practice for future lawsuits.
