A study on the belief and practices of amucas in Kırklareli, Kofçaz

This study, which is prepared on the beliefs and practices of Amuca Bektashis living in the villages of Kofçaz district of Kırklareli, consists of four chapters apart from the introduction and conclusion sections. In the introduction part, information was given on subjects such as the purpose of the study, the research area and the limit of the subject, the method of the research and the collection of data. In the first section, information was given about the history, geographical features and population of Kofçaz and its villages. In this part, the toponomic legends related to the names of the villages, both found in written sources and identified in reviews, were also included. In the last part of this section, after giving information about the formation and development circuits and geographical spread of Bektashism, the Amuca Bektashis living in Kofçaz, which is connected to the Thrace Region, are mentioned. In the second part, old Turkic beliefs, cults and souls / spirits were mentioned because of their relation with the beliefs and practices of Amuca Bektashis. In the third chapter, the beliefs and practices of Amuca Bektashis about transitional traditions, birth, circumcision, joining the army, marriage and death are told. In the fourth section, the natural events, animals, plants, beliefs and practices related to the evil eye, which are outside the transitional periods; In the region, there are narratives about personalities accepted as guardians and rituals about "Hıdırellez", "Girdi Perşembe", "Çıktı Perşembe" and "Muharrem ayı", which are special days for Amuca Bektashis. In the conclusion part, there is evaluations of the data that have been collected and analysed.
