Abstract (EN)

In this study, indoor 222Rn concentrations were determined in different buildings (faculties, administrativeandac ademicunits, etc.) in the Kirklareli University Kayali Campus. Measurements were made in summer and winter seasons. 222Rn was determined by AlphaGUARD measurement techniques. In the study, according to the measurements made, the indoor 222Rn density varies between 6±8 Bq/m3 ile 107±15 Bq/m3. The average 222Rn value of measurements was found to be 24.65 Bq/m3 .In the study, the average seasonal 222Rn intensities were lowest (6±8 Bq/m3) in the winter and the highest (107±15 Bq/m3) in the summer. The results are below the permissible limit values. Estimated annual effective dose equivalent sdue to radon inhalation were calculated. Based on the measured 222Rn gas concentrations estimate dannual effective dose equivalents in summer and winter were estimated as 0.28 mSv and 0.22 mSv, respectively.
