Abstract (EN)
The study aims to define knowledge level of Kırklareli University school of health 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade nursery student's on nutrition habits. This survey includes 300 participants. Ages of students are between 17 and 30. 80.7% of these students have no diagnosed health problem. 76.7% of them are not smoker. When they were asked about factors that triggers health problems, 72.9% of them marked nutrition habits. 48.3% of them marked they have adequate nutrition. 46% of them marked they sometimes skip a meal. 53% of students state that they skip breakfast and 44.7% of students addressed lack of time as a reason for the skip. When they are asked about skipping snatchs 53.3% marked yes option and 37.6% of them marked the mid-morning snatch. While 74% of them have regular breakfast, 73.4% prefer tea, cheese, olive, egg etc.. While 59% of students have regular lunch; 91.5% have it on dining hall of school. 70.7% of them have their lunch on table d'hote. 88.3% of them have regular dinner. 90.9% of them have their dinner on their home/dorm. 44.3% eat on table d'hote. While 40.7% of students consume milk, yoghurt, 36.7% consume meat, 32.3% consume meat products, 42% consume white meat, 43.7% consume legume, 35% consume oily seeds, 40.7% consume other vegetables, 37.3% consume citrus fruits, 40.7% consume other fruits once or twice a week; 29.3% of them consume cheese daily and 40% of them consume fish once a week. As a result of this research it is precipitated university student's inadequacy of nutrition level and nutrition habits can be fixed by nutrition education.
