Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, detailed chemical abundance analysis of HD 94264 (46 LMi) was performed using high resolution (R = 40000) and high signal to noise ratio (S/N ≥ 100) spectra obtained from TUBITAK National Observatory (TUG). Atmospheric parameters of the star (effective temperature (Teff), surface gravity (log g) and microturbulence velocity) were estimated by measuring the equivalent widths and establishing excitation and ionization balances of the iron lines, and they are found to be Teff = (4770 ± 70) K, log g = 2.55 ± 0.15, microturbulence velocity = (1.31± 0.06) km/s, while iron abundace [Fe/H] was calculated as – 0.14 ± 0.03. Chemical abundances of odd atomic numbered light elements (Na, Al), alpha elements (Ti, Si, Mg, Ca), iron group elements (Sc, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn) and s – elements (slow neutron capture elements) (Sr, Y, Zr, Mo, Ba, La, Ce, Pr, Nd) were determined and hyperfine structures and isotopic shiftings were taken into account in the calculations. In addition, abundances of LiCNO which are p – elements (proton capture elements) and 12C/13C isotope ratio which both are associated with the evolution of the star, were determined. The lithium abundance was obtained from the 6707 Å resonance line, and the oxygen abundance was obtained from the forbidden [O I] line at 6300 Å. The carbon abundance, nitrogen abundance and 12C/13C isotope ratio were calculated from 5086.2 Å molecular line of the C2 Swan band which covers the wavelength range of 5085 – 5087 Å, 7995 Å molecular line which is located in the CN band region covering the wavelength range of 7980 – 8130 Å, and 12C14N and 13C14N molecular lines which are present in the 8002 – 8007 Å wavelength region, respectively. By evaluating the obtained LiCNO abundances and 12C/13C isotope ratio, the evolutionary status of the star was discussed. The mass and age of the star have been determined from evolutionary track models and isochrones. In this thesis study, chemical abundance analysis of HD 94264 were performed for 28 elements, for the 8 of those elements (C, N, Cu, Zn, Mo, Ba, Ce and Pr) abundances were given for the first time and brought to the literature. This is the first chemical abundance analysis study of a late type star which is observed at TUG.
