Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out to investigate the agronomic characteristics of dent hybrid corn cultivars under Kirsehir irrigated conditions. In this study, which was established in irrigated production fields in Kirsehir Mucur location in 2019 according to the Randomized Blocks Experimental Design with three replications, 16 dent hybrid corn varieties were used. In the study, grain yield and yield components were examined and the relations between the properties were determined. The difference between cultivars was found to be statistically significant for all traits examined in the analysis of variance. The values for investigated traits, changed between 948-1370 kg/da for the grain yield of the cultivars, 564.7-750.2 for the number of grains per ear, 48.4-53.1 mm for the diameter of the ear, 17.37-25.70 cm for the length of the ear, 218.3-322.8 g for the weight of the ear, 188.4-263 g for the kernel weight per ear. Among the examined features, 46 significant relationships were identified, 33 of which were positive and significant, and 13 were negative and significant. The highest correlation with yield was determined between kernel weight (r=0.97**) and ear weight (r=0.96**). The highest grain yield was obtained from Kalumet (1370.4 kg/da) variety, followed by PL-538 (1366.7 kg/da) and Albayrak (1261.2 kg/da) varieties. As a result of the research, it was determined that the high yielding hybrid corn varieties determined in Kirsehir irrigated conditions could enter into alternation. July 2021, 67 Pages
