Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of nitrogen fertilizer applied in different amounts and different times on the grain yield and grain quality in the spring period in some bread wheat cultivars grown in Kırşehir ecological conditions. The study was carried out with five wheat cultivars and four treatments (U1: No spring term N application; the entire dose of U2: N was administered at one time (ZD: 30); U3: 1/2 of the N dose (ZD: 30) + 1/2 (ZD: 50); U4: 1/3 of the N dose (ZD: 30) + 1/3 (ZD: 40) + 1/3 of the dose (ZD: 50) into split plots trial design in a randomized complete block with 4 replications on the trial fields of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Faculty of Agriculture, during the growing season of 2016-2017. In this study, agronomic, morphological, phenological and quality characteristics of wheat cultivars were investigated and the relationships between the properties examined were determined. Differences for all properties examined in the analysis of variance were statistically important. According to the results of the study, the treatments were effective on the cultivars and the properties examined and the highest yield (223.9 kg/da) was obtained in the U3 treatment, whereas the U2 and U4 treatments were found to be more successful in terms of total quality. The grain yield of cultivars changed between 167.1 kg/da (Bezostaja-1) - 230.1 kg/da (Bayraktar 2000) and Bayraktar 2000 had the highest yield values in all treatments. Among the examined features, 111 positive and significant, 49 positive and insignificant relationships were determined. As a result of this research, it was determined that U3 treatment could be recommended for high grain yield and acceptable quality to farmers in dry farming regions with similar ecology with Kırşehir.
