Abstract (EN)
The research was conducted to find out the effects of different sowing rates on common vetch varieties at the experimental field of Ahi Evran University Agricultural Faculty in 2016 under Kırşehir ecological conditions. The trial was established in a factorial randomised block design with three replications, by using five sowing rates, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 seeds per square meter and four common vetch varieties namely "Soner", "Selçuk", "Bakır" and "Tamkoç". According the results obtained, variety "Tamkoç" had the highest values of the number of pods per plant, the number of seeds per pod and thousand seed weight. It was observed that variety "Selçuk" was superior in seed and biological yields followed by variety Tamkoç. Inconsideration with all results obtained, it was concluded that varieties "Selçuk" and "Tamkoç" had good adaptabilities to the Kırşehir ecological conditions. It was also indicated that the application of 200 seeds per squaremeter was the most suitable seed rate. Keywords: Vicia sativa L., seed rate, seed yield
