Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out to determine the agronomic, physiological and quality characteristics of some durum wheat genotypes in the production fields of Kirsehir Ahi Evran University, Faculty of Agriculture in the 2019-2020 growing year. In this study which was established with four replications according to the randomized blocks experimental design, 20 durum wheat cultivars were used. In the study, grain yield, yield components and quality characteristics were examined. The difference between cultivars was found to be statistically significant for all traits examined in variance analysis. The average values among the durum wheat varieties ranged between 166-233 kg/da in grain yield, 261-353 in fertile spike per square meter, 25.85-38.80 in grain number per spike, 0.86-1.37 g in grain weight per spike, 22.52- 32.41% in harvest index, thousand grain weight is 30.15-41.25 g, hectoliter weight 73.25-75.42 kg, vitreous grain rate 92.8-99.8%, 12.56-13.89% in protein rate, 21.7-43.3 ml in SDS sedimentation value, 47.3-61.6% in semolina yield, 19.7-25.2 in semolina color (b), 60-78 in grain hardness. The highest grain yield was obtained from Ankara 98 (233.3 kg/da) cultivar, followed by Imren (228.4 kg/da) and Mirzabey 2000 (228.2 kg/da) cultivars. As a result of the research, it was determined that the high yielding durum wheat varieties could be an alternative to the Kunduru 1149 and Sahman varieties still grown in the region.
