Abstract (EN)

Qisas means retaliation against the person who committed the crime of killing or wounding. Qisas is commanded in the Quran. Hz. Muhammad (pbuh) himself implemented Qisas. The subject of our study is the hadith narrations and evaluations in Kutub-u Sitte regarding Qisas. The hadiths regarding the subject are discussed in terms of chain of narration and text. All narrations regarding Qisas in Kutub-u Sitte are included in our thesis. The hadith consists of two parts: the chain of narrators and the text. The chain of narrators includes the narrators who narrated the hadith, while the text includes the words, actions and statements of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). All narrators in the chain of narrators were examined in terms of reliability and it was determined that the narrators were reliable. The text was examined in terms of its conformity with the Quran, the authentic sunnah and reason. It was concluded that retaliation is a deterrent sanction in terms of people receiving the equivalent of their crimes and that its ruling is fixed by the Quran and the sunnah and that the narrated hadiths regarding retaliation are authentic.
