Abstract (EN)
Investigation of Behaviour of Partially Prestressed with High Performance Concrete Beams Its known that prestressed concrete building technique is preferred in objectionable cases of reinforced concrete building technique. It is also known that ductility of prestressed concrete buildings are lower than reinforced concrete buildings, so it means that those buildings don't have adaptation property, either. This case especially in active earthquake zone such as Turkey and the countries like Turkey, makes use of partially prestressed concrete building technique compulsory instead of use of prestressed concrete building technique because it has both passive steel and active steel in beam sections and adaptation property even it doesn't have as much as prestressed concrete building technique. Moreover, use of partially prestressed concrete building technique is more rational and more economical than the other building techniques under certain conditions. Despite the fact that so many investigations have been performed on partially prestressed concrete up to now, this building technique has many problems that are waiting for solution. The primary objective of this study is to investigate the strength, deformation and fissuration of partially prestressed concrete beams that are exposed to pure flexure with the theoretical and experimental methods, comparing with the ones that are produced traditionally. This study consists of three chapters. There is general knowledge in chapter one. In chapter two, at first step, the properties and productions of high performance concrete and traditional concrete are explained. At second step, behaviour of concrete, reinforced concrete, partially prestressed concrete and prestressed concrete beams are studied comparative and the finds are examined. The general conclusions obtained from the study together with the recomendations are summarized in chapter three and chapter three is followed by a list of references. The study of the outcomes obtained indicates that optimum partially prestressed ratio is approximately %60 for partially prestressed concrete beams that are produced with traditional concrete but optimum partially prestressed ratio is approximately %70 for partially prestressed concrete beams that are produced with high performence concrete and in some circumstances the use of optimum partially prestressed with high performance concrete building technique is found to be more convenient in many aspects. Key Words : Behavior of Partially Prestressed Concrete Beams, on Pure Flexure, Compare with Experimental and Theoretical, Produced with High Performance and Traditional Concretes.
