Abstract (EN)
Ottoman Empire; It experienced a great decline in political, military, economic and social aspects in the 17th century. However, this decline was not reflected in literature and was even considered a period when literature was on the rise. There were developments in Divan and folk literature and an increase in the number of poets wasobserved. The poems of Kul Nesimi, who lived in this period, was influenced by divan poetry and was considered as a lodge poet; It has been tried to be examined in terms of number symbolism and letter symbolism. In line with the study, since the poet is related to Hurufi and Alevi-Bektashi beliefs, his poems have been tried to be explained in line with these beliefs. Letter symbolism and number symbolism are exemplified by couplets. Keywords: Number symbolism, Letter symbolism, Alevism, Hurufism, 17th century.
