Examination of the relationship between cultural intelligence and bright personality

Business organizations determine their visions in line with many purposes such as adapting to the changing business world, creating a transparent future plan and staying in a competitive environment. The bond between the employers and their employees, which is important for the future plans of the enterprises, creates the efficiency to be obtained from them, and the mental characteristics such as cognitive capacities and intelligence types, as well as the physical performance of the personnel, are the source of this efficiency. The importance of studies that shed light on the cognitive capacities and intelligence types of the personnel that affect the enterprises in all aspects is increasing day by day. The purpose of this research is to determine whether cultural intelligence has an effect on bright personality. For businesses with multicultural work environments, understanding the impact of cultural intelligence on bright personality is important in order to use both variables to the advantage of the business. The population of the research consists of contracted and permanent teachers working in educational institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education throughout Türkiye. The data obtained from 388 teachers within the scope of the research were analyzed with AMOS and SPSS package programs. Hypotheses were tested using regression analysis and correlation analysis. As a result of the data obtained, it was understood that cultural intelligence has a significant and positive effect on the bright personality. At the same time, it has been determined that cultural intelligence has a significant and positive effect on belief in humanity, humanism and kantianism, which are the bright personality's sub-dimensions. This relationship shows that the correct communication and interaction required to ensure that businesses can benefit more from individuals with bright personalities and understand them better is possible with a high level of cultural intelligence. Businesses should develop strategies such as identifying the disadvantages and advantages of bright personalities and positioning these people in the most productive positions and thus they should support the bright personality, which has a very complex structure, with cultural intelligence and turn it into a golden stepping stone for their future plans.
