Abstract (EN)
SUMMARY Our thesis that deals with the calamity and its reasons in the Holy Qur'an has consisted of two chapters. While we concerned with the meaning of the calamity in the first chapter, we also took up the reasons of it. In The First Chapter the meaning of the calamity and some similar terms used in the Qur'an used both etymologically and specifically. In the Second Chapter we evaluated the main reasons of the calamity in the perspective of divine wise, divine will, divine test and the custom of Allah. Then studying on the humans' role in the occurrences of the calamities, we detailed in the human attitudes that cause to the occurrences both in faith and in moral/ ethics. As a conclusion. We found out that according to the Qur'an. calamity is every kind of disasters which harms to the souls and prosperity and make him/her get in trouble. According to the Holy Qur'an it may be said that calamities are the elements of the divine test or results of bad actions of human beings. VII
