Abstract (EN)

Despair, which is subject to many verses in the Holy Qur'an, is one of the negative aspects of the human nature. This situation is a disease not only destroying people's plans, wishes and dreams but also damaging their relations and their sense of compassion. The Qur'an, who declares that the sense of feeling hopeless is occured in infidels' hearts, pointed out that despair is a faithful matter, and it forbids people from this situation. The concepts that are similar and opposite to "despair" have been defined in the research, and all these concepts have been evaluated in terms of dictionary meaning and term meaning. How these concepts, related to Yeis, are used in the Qur'an has been summarized. And Manifestations of despair have been told in the context of infidels and sinners by examining the ways of how the feeling of "despair" was told in the Holy Qur'an. Then, it has been aimed to express how the creation of despair was mentioned in the Qur'an. The ways of getting rid of the situations that lead people to "despair" have been stressed out. Throughout the study, many of the classical and modern sources of tafsir, hadith (the Prophet Muhammed's sayings) and arabian dictionaries were scannned, and essays and works related to subject were evaluated and presented by examinig the data which provides information about the topic. Reflections of "despair" in human soul have been examined with the help of psychological science.
