Abstract (EN)

The occurrence of global climate change is triggered by many factors in the short or long term. The increase in global temperatures in recent years keeps the issue of global climate change on the agenda. Climate has a direct or indirect effect on river resources. In this context, a change in the climate has also an effect on the rivers. Many scenarios are foreseen for climate change and related changes in water resources. In order to reveal effect of climate changes on the flow of Murat River, one of the most important rivers of Turkey, annual the flow observation of the State Hydraulic Works (DSI) regional stations and the regional climate bulletins of the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) were examined statistically. In the study, quantitative data analysis tests were used to determine the relationship between the variables of the quantitative data obtained from DSI and MGM. In this context, a quantitative research with a correlational pattern was exhibited in accordance with the study. In this study, it was concluded that the findings of climate change related to global warming in the Upper Murat River Basin are generally in the form of fluctuations and these changes have a minimal effect on the flow of the Murat River.
