Classification of the poetry collection numbered 161 (24343) in the Kütahya Municipality Mustafa Hakkı Yeşil Library Manuscript Collection according to MESTAP

Within the tradition of classical Turkish literature, journals, which have enabled the survival of literary works in verse and prose to the present day, are important sources for literary history. Because classical Turkish literature is predominantly a poetry-based literature, poetry journals are helpful resources for accessing poets and their texts. Poetry magazines have become a source fort he completion of literary texts by identifying poets who have not found a place in literary history or biography sources, who have been forgotten for various reasons, or whose names have never been heard of. This study presents the poetry journal numbered 161 (24343) in the Kütahya Municipality Mustafa Hakkı Yeşil Library Manuscript Collection. The journal is a significant work within the journal genre not only in terms of its volume, but also in terms of its poets, poems, its distinctiveness as a poetry journal, its inclusion of poems not found in the Divans, its diverse verse forms, and its genres. It is also valuable in terms of literary history and literary texts. The study includes the transcribed text of the poetry journal, which lacks any information on its scribe or copying history, and its classification according to MESTAP. Our study consists of an introduction and three sections. The introduction covers the definition, classification, and significance of the journal in terms of literary history. The first section provides a detailed introduction to the journal. The second section provides a transcription of the text. The third section includes the MESTAP table.
