Abstract (EN)

Within the scope of this thesis, the effect of fiber type and number of layers on the compressive strength of concrete samples reinforced with fiber-reinforced polymer composite materials is investigated by experimental and analytical methods. The thesis study consists of three main parts. In the first chapter, studies on the finite element model of concrete/reinforced concrete structures, studies on repairing structures or structural elements or strengthening them with fibrous polymer composite materials, general information about fibrous polymer composite material, material models developed and formulations created in this context are given. In the second chapter; The studies carried out within the scope of the thesis and the findings obtained from these studies are included. The work done in the second chapter is divided into three parts. In the first part; The production of five samples to be used in experiments in the laboratory environment was carried out. In the second part; Reinforcement process was applied to the cylindrical concrete samples produced in the laboratory with fiber polymer composite fabrics depending on different fiber type and different layers number parameters. In the third part; Compression tests of the reinforced specimens were carried out. In the third chapter; The results and recommendations obtained from the thesis study are given.
