Abstract (EN)
In this study, the impact of occupational health and safety measures implemented in ports on port employees was evaluated. For this purpose, Socio-Demographic Questionnaire Forms were used. In the study, the occupational health and safety practices of a port that is in great demand nationally and internationally among 36 ports operating in Kocaeli Körfez Region were examined in detail and analyzed by applying socio-demographic questionnaires to 300 blue-collar port employees. The questionnaire was administered to blue-collar employees actively working in the operation area during the daytime hours permitted by the port management. The data obtained in the study were analyzed using IBM SPSS 25.0 program. Statistical analyses were used to examine the relationship between the research variables. In this analysis, the socio-demographic profile of the participants was also taken into consideration. Statistical data analysis methods help to identify relationships, trends or differences by analyzing the data obtained. In this way, meaningful results are obtained for the purpose of the research and the relationship between the socio-demographic characteristics of the participants and the research variables is better understood. Before starting the analysis, general information about the study was given; the subject, purpose, scope, problem and model of the study were explained. In addition, the results of the analysis are presented and interpreted.
