Usage and analysis of graphic design elements in students's movement area: Kayseri Ahi Evran Professional and Technical Anatolia example

Students try to express their emotions and thoughts by writing something and drawing symbols to their notebooks,school lines, or on surfaces like school walls, etc.Writing and painting on the walls and the walls do not create a pleasant appearance and do not conform to school regulations. The purpose of the research is to help the students express feelings and thoughts comfortably by using the graphite items in the interior spaces, by combining with the art of graffiti and architecture and to make love the school. In addition, it is considered that the walls decorated in the interior and exterior spaces of the educational buildings by students will strengthen the students' sense of belonging to the space, while the education structure will also allow them to establish their own identity, and this experience will enable the students to own the space they live in. For this purpose, a graphite activity was held in the first semester of 2016-2017 academic year with thirty-five students studying in Art and Design department in Kayseri Ahi Evran Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. High school students were given technical information before the wall painting and the graffiti were done. It has been tried to learn some basic knowledge of graphite by question-answer teaching method. While this information was given, graphite sketches were made on paper with slides examples, and then three applications were carried out. In the first application, one of the drawings drawn to the class was applied to the canvas cloth prepared in the dimension of 180x300cm which is hanging on the wall. In order to determine the drawing to be applied, the drawings made for the application are displayed on the smart board as a slide show and voted. The most admired work has been applied. In the second application, it is required to work on the canvas cloth prepared in 180x300cm dimension and to write and obliterate as they want. The work they have done in order to increase their interest and leave a trace has been exhibited in school,first in the class then in the garden.In the third application, the applications made within the school are presented as an example to the Talas Municipality Park Gardens Directorate and the graffiti activity was realized on the walls of Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu Park in Talas district of Kayseri province as part of the social responsibility Project. As a result of observations and interviews with students, it was observed that high school students in adolescence were more likely to have negative behaviors, by making sketches on school walls and tables (such as school property damage) when they were stressed, sad or happy. For this reason the study, since it relates the negative behaviors of high school students to graffiti studies, graffiti, and as a branch of art, is important in terms of contributing to reading and adapting to life by influencing the spiritual aspects of high school students in adolescence positively. It is also important because students will contribute to reducing their tendency to negative behaviors by developing problem-solving abilities by helping each other as a result of collaborative work.
