Abstract (EN)
The COVID-19, which has taken over the world and Turkey, has caused anxiety, fear and stress in pandemic times, while measures in the pandemic period have caused adolescent stress levels to increase, experience sleep problems and sleep during the day. This research was made to search out the impact of the stress that adolescents studying in high schools in Kırşehir province have detected during the COVID-19 pandemic process in the day's sleep state. This descriptive research was done with 396 students at public high schools in Kırşehir. The data was collected online and face-to-face between 08.11.2021 and 28.11.2021 using the "Information Form for identifying features", "Perceived Stress Scale" and "Epworth Sleepiness Scale". The total average Perceived Stress Scale of the students participating in the study if was 29.35±7.34 the average of the students' Epworth Sleepiness Scale was 5.56±4.31. It has been determined that 17.9% of the students have had daytime sleep problems. It has been determined that the high school type and caffeinated beverage consumption increased daytime sleep, but did not affect the perceived stress. COVID-19 vaccination status, COVID-19 capture, COVID-19 cause and condition of quarantine treatment at home or hospital as a suspected patient, and inability to sleep as a COVID-19 were not affected by perceived stress and average daytime sleep. It has been found that the stress that students perceive is greater but does not affect the day-to-day sleep situation, which indicates the perception of the economic situation as poor-medium and indicates that they have experienced an incident that has recently affected them. The perceived stress and daytime sleep of the female gender were found to have a high scale rating. As a result, during the COVID-19 pandemic period, it was determined that as the stress level of high school students perceived increased, daytime sleep increased.
