Abstract (EN)

In this Thesis, chemical sythesis technique was used to sythesize Lithium (Li) doped Zn1-xCoxO (x=0.00, 0.05, and 0.10) with varied ratios (0 %, 5 %, 10 %, and 20 % molar ratio). Synthesized particles were in homogenous size and with desired stochiometric ratio. Structural anaylsis and crystal structure of doped atoms was determined and in last study on the ionic conduction mechanisim was done. First of all, the Lithium (Li) doped Zn1-xCoxO (x=0.00, 0.05, and 0.10) powders produced chemically through citrate based sol-gel route were pressed under 1.2 MPa to form 10mm wide (in diameter) & 1 mm thick pellets. Next these pellets were annealed upto 1200°C for 6 hours. AC electrical analysis were done on these pellets to obtain ionic conductivity and ionic activation energy. The manufactured electrolyte for SOFC was check for its homogenity. Structural anaylsis were performed through X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), X Ray spectrophoyometer (XPS), and Scanning electron microscope (SEM). AC impedanse spectroscopy was utlized to determine its AC electrical properties. Key words: Oxide Semiconductors, Intermidiate temperature solid oxide fuel cells, Chemical Synthesis, ZnO
