The effect of logistics service quality on logistics performance: A research in Mersin logistics sector

In the today's linked and international business environment, logistics performance is critical in determining the success of firms across industries. The quality of logistics services is believed to have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, cost management, and overall competitiveness. This thesis explores the link between logistics performance and company success, focusing on the important characteristics that lead to exceptional logistics performance. In today's fast-paced and linked world, logistics is critical to any company's success. In this setting, organizations must improve the quality of their logistics services in order to achieve high levels of performance. To examine the relationship between the two concepts, the Logistics Service Quality Scale adapted to Turkish by Kayapınar (2016) and the Logistics Performance Scale adapted to Turkish by Bakan and Şekkeli (2015) were used. A survey was applied to 59 companies from the Mersin Logistics Sector with the cluster sampling method and feedback was received from 425 employees. As a result of the regression analysis, it was found that logistics service quality as a whole and its 7 sub-dimensions positively impacted the logistics performance of companies separately.
