Lütfullah el-Erzurûmî's "Ramuzu't-Tahrir ve't-Tefsir" review of his judiciary

Every day, new studies are added in the field of Arabic, which has been taught in Turkey for a long time. As a matter of fact, the transfer of cultures that are unique to societies from generation to generation is carried out through manuscripts, which are cultural works. It is known that it is not easy to translate the works that have survived to the present day through a nation-specific accumulation into another language. Because, instead of making one-to-one translations in manuscript translations, mostly expressions that have the same meaning in the target language are chosen to ensure equivalence. However, the fact that the researchers who will work in this field are not competent in edition critique and that they do not sufficiently comply with the edition rules while reading the manuscripts is a mistake that will damage the soundness of the work. Because siyak and sibak, that is, the context, which are vital in a translation, are very important. For this reason, doing the closest work to the author's writing in translation studies contributes to the correct translation of the work to the present day. We decided to criticize the edition of the work called Râmûzu't-Tahrîr ve't-Tafsîr, which belongs to Lütfullah Efendi, which is among the important manuscripts in the eighteenth century of the Ottoman Empire and is the subject of the study. Although the work of interest has been the subject of investigation by some researchers, it has not been studied as a whole due to its large volume. For this reason, the edition critique of the Yâsîn and Nâs surahs, namely 437-589 leaves, constitutes the subject of our study. In the first part of the study, which consists of two parts, information is given about the life of the author, the period in which she lived, her literary personality, her works and the method she followed in her work.
