A sociological research on domestic relations of drug addicted children en adolescents "The case of Adıyaman province"

Drugaddiction is a sociological problem that needs to be emphasized in our country as in thew holeworld. In-familyr elationshipspose a significant rolle for drug abuseandonset. The number of drug addictsincreases in parallel to thein crease of the young population in recentyears in Turkey. Inourcountry, the trend towards drugabuse has increased in recent years. Drug addiction is a socially damaging disease that decreases the life performance of a person biologically and psychologically. Drug addiction, which is seen as a threatto the individualin directly to the environment in which he live sand to the society in which the individuallives, increases due to different reasons. Especially the family, school, peer environment and social media used by the individual is an important factor in getting acquainted with the substance and drug. The aim of this study is toin vestigatethe sociological relationship between substanced ependence in children and adolescents. The population of there search was Adıyaman, and the samplewas in Adıyaman Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, Adıyaman Fine Arts High School, Fatih Vocational and Anatolian High School, Altınşehir Anatolian High School, Private Simya Collegeand Adıyaman Science High School in 2019-2020 academic year consisting of 642 students. Inordertodetermine whether there is a significant relationship between demographic structure, socio-cultural structure, peerand environment, social media use and family communication and substance addiction in adolescents and children; questionnaire method was used as data collection tool.
