Abstract (EN)
Differences in accounting criteria of countries create difficulties in the process of comparing the data available in financial reports, and also pose an obstacle to globalizing companies. It is now an undeniable fact to use a common accounting standard and language all over the world for the sake of total quality and understandability in all businesses. In the digitalized world order, transactions can be made at any time, regardless of the concept of time and space. In light of all this, a study was initiated under the leadership of the International Association of Accountants with the aim of achieving a standard all over the world, and in this context, Turkey became a member of the union by implementing Turkish Accounting Standards and Financial Reporting Standards. Behind these studies, practices have been made to ensure that the financial statements are read and evaluated correctly by all stakeholders, as well as being evaluated competitively under market conditions, following the increasing trade intensity in our country and its integration with the world. Although there are some differences in the format and content of financial statements, the biggest difference is in the profit or loss statement. In TAS/TFRS, it is the Comprehensive Income Statement, in BOBİ FRS, it is the Profit or Loss Statement. KÜMİ FRS, on the other hand, has reporting standards that are outside the scope of independent audit within the scope of the Turkish Commercial Code. Positive developments are seen by both businesses and the Ministry of Finance in a system that is compatible with the Tax Procedure Law in terms of scope. Particularly the Tangible Asset Standard is important in this regard. In this study, some issues in the Turkish Accounting System will be examined. As a result, it can be seen that TMS/TFRS, BOBİ FRS and KÜMİ FRS applications are quite close to each other, but they have differences at some points. Because BOBİ FRS is the simplified and simplified version of TAS/TFRS and CUMULATIVE FRS is the simplified version of BOBİ FRS. There are serious differences in MSUGT/VUK, especially regarding depreciation and valuation. Although MSUGT is actually a system created on the basis of reality, it has not been able to escape the influence of tax laws.
