Abstract (EN)

Muslims have studied at all points, the Qur'an which is the last massage of God, for the purpose of understand and reflect it on their lives, from the first moment it came to humanity. The first interpretation of the Qur'an were made by the Prophet (pbuh), who was its first interlocutor and announcer. This activity which have initiated by the Prophet (pbuh), have been expanded and continued by his ashab (companions) after them tabioun (the followers of the companions) took over the inheritance of the tafsir. In this period, tafsir activity has considerably expanded, important figures have been trained in this area and data about the Qur'anic interpretation have begun to be recorded. This early period tafsir heritage, which includes the sahaba and tabioun period, has a great importance for the next generation of Qur'an researchers in term of being put forward by the first interlocutor of the Qur'an. The hadith scholar and the founder of Maliki sect, Malik bin Anas, is one of the most important figures in term of tabioun period tafsir activities. Imam Malik, who lived in Madinah, during the Umayyad and Abbasids and he is known as hadith and fiqh scholar, also has the aspect of the tafsir. However, this aspect of him has been neglected because it stayed in the shadow of his traditonist and jurist identities. Although, there are mentioned in some sources a tafsir work which belong to Malik, but this work is not available today. His narratives concerning tafsir have gathered in a work called Marwiyyatu al-Imam Malik fi al-Tafsir, by Muhammad bin Rızq bin Tarhuni and Hikmat Bashir Yasin. There are also the narrations of Imam al-Malik concerning tafsir in the tafsir part of the book which belonging to Abu Bakr Al-Arabi and called al-Qabas fi Sharh Muwatta Malik bin Anas. In this work, we intend to reveal the method of Malik bin Anas, who is a scholar of the period of tabi' at-tabi'in by benefiting from a various sources, especially the mentioned two works.
