Abstract (EN)
Although the universe we live in contains many natural beauties, it also faces many natural disasters. Climate change events in recent years also increase the impact and frequency of natural disasters. In this context, it is very important to take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of life and property that will occur or will occur as a result of natural disasters, which are an undeniable reality. One of these disasters is the flood events that occur constantly in our country. In order to minimize the negative effects arising from flood events, flood analyzes should be performed and necessary measures should be taken according to the results obtained. In flood analysis studies, the HEC-RAS flood analysis method is widely used in the literature. The aim of this study; to reveal the situation of the region between Kınıklı Stream and Kamara Stream, which surrounds the Sultanköy Locality on the west and east, in Tekirdağ Province, Marmaraereglisi District, during a probable flood by way of the HEC-RAS. Dispersion maps, flood velocity maps and flood depth maps were obtained and also capacities of the art structures located on the streams were determined as a result of the analyzes which made for Q50, Q100, Q500, Q1000 recurring flow rates. According to the flood spread maps obtained, flood damage analysis was performed for the Q50 and Q500 flood recurrence rates for the structures in the downstream part of the aforementioned streams, and the material damage that may occur in the mentioned areas in a possible flood was calculated. As a result, it has been revealed that there is no significant problem in case of Q50, Q100, Q500 and Q1000 flood recurring flows in the region between two streams, but both streams are independently at risk of flooding.
