Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to examine Mavisel Yener's stories in the context of ten root values published in the Ministry of National Education Turkish Lesson Curriculum and to make text suggestions for secondary school Turkish textbooks in line with the general objectives and achievements of the Turkish Lesson Curriculum. In the study, "document scanning", one of the qualitative research methods, was used. "Descriptive analysis" was applied in the analysis of the recorded values as a result of the document scanning. First of all, 15 story books of Mavisel Yener, which were determined by random sampling, were reached. During the analysis of the data, the values determined by the scanning method are discussed under separate headings and their frequencies are given in the tables. In the tables prepared separately for each value, the works in which the values are processed, the page numbers of the works and the frequency of their processing are given. In addition, by giving conceptual explanations for each value, the importance of the value for the individuals who make up the society is mentioned. The numerical data given about the values in the tables are supported and interpreted by exemplifying with direct quotations. The stories of the ten root values with the highest frequency were evaluated with standard interview forms by 10 Turkish language teachers in terms of the values they are thought to have and the features that should be found in the reading texts. At this stage, two different interview forms were used, namely "Opinion Form Regarding the Features Required in the Reading Text in the Textbook" and "Expert Opinion Form for Values". The obtained data were evaluated quantitatively and frequency tables were created. The results reached depending on the problem questions of the research are as follows: It has been determined that Mavisel Yener's works include ten root values in the 2019 Turkish Curriculum. In Mavisel Yener's works, love value (f=94), "helpfulness" value (f=57), "responsibility" value (f=66), "respect" value (f=37), "friendship" value (f= 37), "self-control" value (f=32), "honesty" value (f=20), "patience" value (f=12), "patriotism" value (f=12) , "justice" value (f) =5) was detected. It can be said that Mavisel Yener's analyzed stories are rich for values education, and she includes ten root values in her works. In terms of the features that the works should have in the texts in the Turkish textbooks included in the 2019 Turkish Lesson Curriculum, it can be concluded that Mavisel Yener's works can be used in secondary school Turkish textbooks, as the percentage of agreement in the test is above 50% as a result of the opinions of 10 experts from the Turkish Language Teacher.
