A psychoanalytic overview of Mehmet Zaman Saclioglu's stories

In this thesis, a psychoanalytic analysis of Mehmet Zaman Saçlıoğlu's stories was made. The stories of Saçlıoğlu were analyzed within the framework of Lacanian psychoanalysis. The analysis will be limited to sixteen stories of Saçlıoğlu. While examining the stories, the texts were deconstructed in order to detect the appearances of the unconscious. The aim of the thesis is to unravel the essence of the unconscious, structured like language. While deconstructing the text, interpretations of Freud's, Sophocles' King Oedipus and Lacan's Edgar Allan Poe's Stolen Letters were taken as reference. In the thesis, a connection has been established between psychoanalysis and storytelling. During the analysis of the stories, Ferdinand de Saussure's concept of sign and Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic theory were used.
