Abstract (EN)

In the developing and changing world order, human beings have had to distance themselves from nature for many reasons, especially social needs. This divergence brought along many problems such as a chain. These emerging problems and the relationship of consumption have led to the reduction of green areas and the alienation of individuals from nature. Individuals who move away from nature are exposed to various problems in many ways, including physical, mental and ecological. This generation, who was exposed to these problems and grew up without seeing itself as a part of nature; their psychological development is negatively affected, and their exploration, creativity and thinking abilities are limited. The biophilic design approach, which constitutes the cornerstones of the method structure of the study, emerged with the idea that "people are more peaceful in environments where they interact with nature indirectly or directly". university campuses where young people will be more successful, etc. argues that areas can be created. In line with the assumption of the study, the main purpose is to propose a method for "space designs that enable people who are distant from nature to reintegrate with nature" and to bring the concepts of "biophilic landscape-biophilic campus" to design-oriented professional disciplines with qualitative and quantitative bases. For this purpose, a numerical method metric based on biophilic design was created as a result of literature and statistical studies within the scope of the study. An "index formula" has been created to measure biophilic capacity with the created metric. After the biophilic analysis metric and index formula were created, it was applied on the study area determined within the scope of the thesis and it was determined that the selected study area was "biophilic". All the data determined in the results were examined as a result of statistical studies and the relationships between each criteria that formed the biophilic analysis metric were revealed.
