Abstract (EN)
Relations extraction is the process of identifying connections between entities. It is used in wide range of applications including information retrieval, text summarization, machine translation, question answering, thesaurus building, and ontology building. This thesis presents a method for detecting meronyms and synonyms relationships between nouns within sentences from a given English dictionary. This study presents an analyzer designed to detect pairs of meronyms and sets of synonyms (synsets) between noun words. It depends on OPTED dictionary as a data source. OPTED dictionary consists of words with their tags and definitions. The analyzer tokenizes the dictionary into sentences and then extracts words' POS tags using NLTK library to put the base data structure. The data structure is used to find meronyms relations by using predefined keywords and rules. The data structure is used also to find synsets and their intersected, transitive, and similarity generations.
