The evaluation of the surah of Meryem in terms of religious education

The aim of religious education is to understand and apply religion correctly, to purify it from superstitions and to transform individual differences into advantages and to ensure that every believer has a correct understanding of religion that can meet on a common ground. The way to achieve this is primarily through actively using the main sources of religion in accordance with the education of the age and getting to know the individuals who are the addressee of the religion well. Since the foundation of teaching in the history of Islamic education is based on the Quran and Sunnah, it is an essential for us to focus more on the second part. Because an education to be made by considering the different characteristics of individuals will bring more effective and permanent results in terms of knowledge and learning. In addition to individual features, the language and style of the Quran, which has an impressive feature, will provide significant contributions to religious education when combined with the right principles, methods and techniques. At this point, religious educators have important responsibilities. At the beginning of these tasks, it is to contribute to the active use of the Quran in the field of religious education by examining the Quran with correct and effective methods. The subject of our study, which we have prepared by considering the previous research in this field; To determine the contribution to education by examining the Surah of Maryam, which is one of the Quran's chapters with important messages, in terms of principles, methods and techniques of religious education. The subject of our study, the Surah of Maryam, is a surah in which most of the stories take place. For this reason, it contains important information both in terms of principles, methods and techniques of religious education and understanding and comprehending the Quran. Therefore, our study covers the addressing of the addressees and the evaluation of the messages in the verses in terms of religious education principles, methods and techniques specific to Surah Maryam. Our study consists of three parts. In the first part, the research problem, scope, purpose, importance, method, conceptual framework and similar studies will be included. In the second chapter, information about the reason for the occurrence of the Surah Maryam, the origin of the name, its content, the concepts and stories in the sura will be given. In the third part, the educational features in the Surah Maryam will be emphasized, the elements of religious education in particular will be mentioned, and the principles, methods and techniques of religious education will be emphasized.
