Metaveri standartlarının irdelenmesi ve Harita Genel Komutanlığı için bir metaveri profili oluşturulması

When the data is achieved, it must be obligatory that the metadata which contain descriptive and explanatory information about data should be stored with data. Owing to metadata users can easily access the data and use it effectively which they need. Nowadays because of the increasing data amount, the data and related metadata should be collected according to a standard. In this context, the ISO 19115-Metadata standard comes into prominence which developed by ISO TC 211 by using UML diagrams. Nowadays most of the national and international foundations develop their own metadata profiles according to this international standard. In this thesis, a metadata profile is created for the General Command of Mapping, which is based on ISO 19115, by investigating FGDC, DUBLIN CORE, INSPIRE international standards and HBB and TUCBS national metadata profiles. The profile was composed of 7 main category and 89 different metadata elements. This profile will shed light on other foundations which wants to develop their own metadata profiles according to ISO 19115.
